E-Commerce Development

Stores built to convert, ship, and reconcile correctly.

What is e-commerce development?

E-commerce development is the work of building an online store: the catalogue, cart and checkout, payment and shipping integrations, order management, and the reporting that connects it to your accounts. It can be built on a hosted platform such as Shopify, on WordPress with WooCommerce, or as a custom application.

The platform decision matters more than the design. We choose it against your catalogue size, order volume, and how unusual your pricing or fulfilment rules are — then build the store, the integrations, and the reporting that make it run without daily manual work.

What our e-commerce development service covers

  • Shopify store setup, theme development, and app integration
  • WooCommerce builds on WordPress with custom functionality
  • Custom e-commerce applications for unusual catalogue or pricing rules
  • Payment gateway integration: Razorpay, PayU, Stripe, PayPal, and CCAvenue
  • Shipping and logistics integration with courier APIs and tracking
  • GST-compliant invoicing and integration with your accounting system
  • Migrations between platforms with URLs and rankings preserved

What you receive

  • A live store with products, variants, and inventory configured
  • Working checkout tested end to end with real payment and refund flows
  • Shipping rules, tax configuration, and invoice templates
  • Enhanced e-commerce tracking in GA4 and conversion tracking for ads
  • Admin training so your team can add products and process orders

Our e-commerce development process

  1. 01

    Platform selection

Catalogue size, order volume, pricing complexity, and your team's technical comfort decide the platform. We write the reasoning down.

  2. 02

    Catalogue design

Product structure, variants, and attributes are modelled before build — retrofitting this later is painful.

  3. 03

    Store build

Theme or custom front end, category and product templates, cart, and checkout.

  4. 04

    Integrations

Payments, shipping, tax, and accounting connected and tested with real transactions.

  5. 05

    Launch

SEO redirects from any old URLs, tracking verification, and a soft launch before promotion begins.

  6. 06

    Optimise

Checkout funnel analysis and conversion rate work once real order data exists.

E-Commerce Development questions

Shopify or WooCommerce — which is better?

Shopify is faster to launch, hosted and maintained for you, and predictable in cost — with a monthly fee and transaction charges. WooCommerce has no licence fee and far more control, but you own the hosting, security, and updates. For most first stores under a few hundred products, Shopify is the lower-risk choice; WooCommerce wins when you need unusual functionality or already run WordPress.

Can you migrate our store without losing SEO rankings?

Yes, with planning. We map every old URL to its new equivalent, implement 301 redirects, preserve product content and structured data, and monitor Search Console closely after cutover. Some short-term fluctuation is normal; permanent loss is not, when redirects are done properly.

Which payment gateways do you integrate?

For India: Razorpay, PayU, CCAvenue, and Paytm. For international sales: Stripe and PayPal. We can run more than one so that domestic and export customers each get the option that works for them.

Is the store GST compliant?

Yes. We configure GST rates by product category, HSN codes, and compliant invoice templates, and can connect the store to Tally or your accounting software so that orders do not have to be re-entered.

How long does an online store take to build?

A Shopify store with a standard catalogue typically takes 3 to 5 weeks. WooCommerce with custom functionality runs 6 to 10 weeks. A fully custom B2B platform with tiered pricing and approval flows is a larger project, usually 3 months or more.
